Expressing thoughts and feelings through process and project oriented art therapy projects in a way that is personally meaningful.
During Open Studio, group members will be encouraged to use any of the available materials to make an art piece of their choice. Group members will be encouraged to engage in process oriented art therapy. Process oriented means that the artist is focused on the therapeutic experience of making art and not on the final project, for example, pounding on clay, ripping and crumbling paper, and experimenting with materials. Project oriented art therapy involves the therapeutic process of art making with an emphasis on the meaning of final product.
